Dick Lee (1923-2001) was a painter mainly in oils of landscapes and interiors. He was born Richard Dale Lee in Bulawayo in what is now Zimbabwe. After coming to the UK he studied at Camberwell School of Art 1947-50 and later taught at Camberwell 1953-82. Dick Lee exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1953, also with The London Group and The Leicester Galleries, and had many solo shows including at The New Grafton Gallery. His work is represented in several public collections, including Government Art Collection, Arts Council Collection and The Imperial War Museum. He lived in Barnes in south west London for many years and also had a home in northern France.
