Geoffrey Brunell is a well-known painter and printmaker born in east London. He studied at Walthamstow School of Art 1963-66, at the Royal College of Art (Print School) 1966-69, and then he spent two years in Italy from 1969 as Rome Scholar in Printmaking. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy from 1966, mainly from addresses in Hornchurch, Essex, and later from Romford. He has had many solo and joint shows in the UK and abroad and his work is held in a number of public collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Laing Art Gallery and South London Art Gallery.
