Michael Blaker, RE, RWA (born 1928, Hove, Sussex -died 2018) was a well known painter, printmaker and author, based for many years at Rochester in Kent.  He studied at Brighton College of Art after the war, and exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy from 1960, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Society of Painter Etchers and Royal West of England Academy. He was elected RE 1975 (later a Senior Fellow) and RWA 1987. His work is represented in the Victoria & Albert Museum and in other leading collections.
