Valerie Fraser, RSW (born 1933) is a well-known Scottish painter, in both oil and watercolour, of coastal scenes, landscapes and some flower subjects. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art in the early 1950s and an early painting by her from 1954 is held in their permanent collection. Valerie Fraser exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute from 1960 and with the Royal Society of Scottish Painters in Watercolour (RSW) becoming a member in 1965. In her earlier years she lived in Edinburgh and found much of her subject matter along the coast near North Berwick and in Fife. She also painted in Paris.
