Michael Sanders (born 1959) is a well-known painter in oil, watercolour, gouache and mixed media mainly of landscapes and coastal subjects. After leaving art school with a fine art degree he settled in north Norfolk and painted extensively in the county.  Later he painted widely in Italy and France, and also in Thailand, and maintained a studio at Valbonne in the south of France. More recently he established two studios in England, one back in Norfolk and the other in Cornwall. He has exhibited at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and at many commercial galleries including Mandell’s Gallery; The Phoenix Gallery, Lavenham; The Century Galleries, Henley-on-Thames; Thompson`s Gallery, London & Aldeburgh; Baron Art, Norfolk; John Noott Galleries, Broadway;  and Gallery Tresco, Isles of Scilly
