Hedvah Shemesh (born 1945 in the former Soviet Union) is a well-known Jewish artist who left in Poland in 1957 as a child, settling in Israel. He studied at the Oranim Art Institute near Haifa and in Venice and exhibited widely including at 1978 Grollo d'oro Biennale (group); 1980 International Biennale, Madrid; 1987 Graphics Biennale, Venice; 1988 Biennale for Art Posters, Warsaw.
