Robert Leslie Pell, RBA, NDD (1928-2015) was born in Northampton and was a well-known painter of coastal subjects, urban views and landscapes. He exhibited at the Leicester Galleries, the Piccadilly Gallery, and with the prestigious Royal Society of British Artists to which he was elected a member in 1958. His work is held in several public collections including Northampton Museums & Art Gallery, The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum Coventry, and Reading Museum & Town Hall. He lived at Brackley in Northamptonshire.
