George Manchester, ARCA (1922–1996)  was a well-known London based painter of landscapes and coastal scenes. He studied at Beckenham Art School with Thomas Freeth, 1946–50, then at Royal College of Art, 1950–3, under Ruskin Spear and John Minton. Exhibited at the Royal Academy, Leicester Galleries, Beaux Arts Gallery, Young Contemporaries and a solo show at the Redfern Gallery in the 1950s.
