Hugh Knollys, DSC (1918-2006) was a distinguished Royal Naval officer, decorated highly during World War II, and later a successful artist. He exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists from 1968 to 1989. These were mainly coastal views in East Anglia, North Wales, the west coast of Scotland, the Isle of Wight, Southampton Water and Normandy.
