Martin Renton Ware (born 1946) is a well-known printmaker. He was born in London to William Ware and Eileen Aldridge, who were both highly accomplished artists. Martin Ware studied at the Camberwell School of Art, then at Croydon and later at the Royal College of Art where he was awarded a drawing prize and a travelling scholarship to Spain. He has exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy from 1968, and his work is held in many public collections, including the British Council, Victoria and Albert Museum, Bolton Museum and Art Gallery, the Towner Art Gallery at Eastbourne, Leeds City Art Gallery, Harvard University, The Newcombe Library Chicago, Ohio University and Western Australia Art Gallery. Since 2008 his studio has been located in France.
