Noel Betowski (born 1952) is a well-known painter and art teacher. He was born in Tilbury, Essex, and studied under David Haughton at the Central School of Art and Design in London, from where he graduated in 1976. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the National Portrait Gallery, New Grafton Gallery, Crane Kalman Gallery, The Mercury Gallery, and won the John Constable prize in 1987 and 1988. Noel Betwoski moved from London in 1987 and settled in Penzance, Cornwall, where he opened The Betowski Gallery. He was elected a member of The Penwith Society and the Newlyn Society of Artists. He also exhibited in Cornwall with The Salthouse Gallery, St Ives, The Porthmeor Gallery, St Ives, Highgate Fine Art, and with the Royal Cornwall Museum.
