Title: 'The Lover Continues His Flight' from The Romaunt of the Rose

Description: The artist, Ann Brunskill, produced a number of books containing original plates by her, which were published by her World's End Press. One such was 'The Romaunt of the Rose', originally by Geoffrey Chaucer, and released by Ann Brunskill in 1974. The bound volumes, of which there were 25, had a text accompanied by seven original etchings, printed on a Hunter Penrose copper plate press, which were folded neatly to fit within the box. The remaining 50 etchings not bound were left unfolded and offered by the artist separately and the present work is one of those which is pencil signed by the artist, titled, and numbered from the overall edition of 75 prints. The etching is in good unfaded condition.

Size: About 14.7 x 22.2 inches image size and about 15.4 x 23.4 inches sheet size; the work is mounted with a removable protective covering but unframed. The mount measures 21.7 x 29.6 inches.
