Description: A framed original oil painting on a C. Roberson & Co. Ltd canvas, signed by the artist lower right 'Ida Cooke' and signed again verso twice and titled by hand 'Lollipop Lady'. It is possible that this painting may also have been known as 'Stop! Children Crossing', which was exhibit 162 in the Winter Exhibition of 1966 at the New English Art Club. The painting fits that title perfectly. The work is in good original condition. The hand finished frame is also original and although it has some signs of wear and tear, it suits the painting well.
