Description: An original watercolour signed lower right with the artist's estate stamp. The work isn't dated but we know that Malet was at Knaresborough during the 1930s and again in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Some years after the artist's death there was a sale of Guy Malet's studio collection and a good number of these works were acquired at the auction by the well-known London art dealers, Abbott & Holder. This work doesn't have their usual label verso but it does have their handwritten sticker with details of the artist, the subject and the name of the purchaser, who was an enthusiastic collector of Malet's watercolours. Most of the Malet works we have came from the estate of that collector. The condition of both the painting and the frame is very good. Other works by Guy Malet are also in stock.
