Ron Dellar (1930–2017) born in South London was a self-taught British artist whose work spanned portraiture, figurative painting, surrealism, abstraction and landscapes. Working in oils and watercolours, he developed a distinctive artistic style shaped by curiosity, imagination and a lifelong passion for creativity. His work was exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Watercolour Society. An independent and versatile artist, Ron left behind a varied body of work reflecting his individuality and creative spirit. He spent much of his life in Sussex, first in Rye, then his final years in Angmering.
