Description: An original etching on paper, titled in the plate and signed in the plate at top centre 'Maresco Pearce'. It came to us directly from a granddaughter of the artist, along with the other etching we have listed. Our connection to the Pearce family goes back to the 1970s when my father met the artist's daughter Naomi Pearce at their country home at Graffham in West Sussex. She explained to him that her father never editioned his prints and generally signed them in the plate although some were also pencil signed. Maresco Pearce retired from etching by circa the early 1920s in order to concentrate on his painting. This etching is likely to date to circa 1918-1920. We think this work depicts an interior at the artist's favourite restaurant, Verrey's in Regent Street, London W1.  It is in excellent condition and we have had it mounted and framed using Tru Vue conservation grade glass with 99% UV protection.

Size: About 8.8 x 7.2 inches (about 22.5 x 18 cm) plate size; and about 16.7 x 12.8 inches framed size (about 42.5 x 32.5 cm)
