Description: A framed original drawing in pastel, signed by the artist 'Jacob' recto and inside it is inscribed by him with best wishes for Christmas and the New Year (please see our image) and it is then signed 'from Jacob and Pippa' (she was Bornfriend's wife). This work was one of several greetings cards from the artist and his wife to the Slovakian born architect, Eugene Rosenberg (1907-1990) who fled to the UK from the Nazis in 1939 (we have other cards from the same source). Although undated it is most likely to be circa 1963/65. The work is in good condition for its age. The provenance of this work is the estate of the late Eugene Rosenberg. We have had the work mounted and framed to a good standard including with anti-reflective glazing (ARTGLASS AR 70).
Size: About 5.0 x 7.0 inches (about 13.0 x 17.7 cm) image size; and 10.1 x 11.7 inches framed size (about 25.5 x 29.7 cm)
