Title: 'A Kentish Landscape' 1944

Description: An original etching on paper, pencil signed by the artist lower right, dated there (19)44, and titled 'A Kentish landscape' lower left in pencil. The artist tended not to number his prints and an etching of this title was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1944. At some stage in about the 1970s or 1980s the etching passed through the hands of Heffers Gallery of Cambridge as their label is on the back of the work. We think it probable the print was reframed by those dealers at that time. The etching appears to be in good condition although not examined out of the frame. The frame is in generally good order considering its age.
