Description: An original lithograph on artist’s paper signed and dated (19)65 in pencil by Lucebert lower right and inscribed ‘E.A.’ lower left for Epreuve d’artiste’ (artist’s Proof). It has the impressed blindstamp of the publisher, Piet Clement of Amsterdam, at the lower right hand corner of the sheet. On the reverse the work is titled ‘General’ and there is an inscription which reads ‘not for sale, for exhibition only’. Epreuve d’artiste works are normally reserved by the artist for his or her own use. The subsequent provenance of this lithograph is the Reichardt collection and verso it has a small reference sticker with a number, presumably from this collection. The print is in very good condition for its age, with no fading or tears to the paper.
