Description: This is a quite scarce early drawing in pastel and charcoal by Horne Shepherd, dated to 1947, whereas most of his works on the market tend to date from much later in his career. It is executed beautifully on grey artists paper and is signed by him and dated lower centre. The drawing is in excellent condition. It has been framed to a good standard but there are some chips to the edge of the frame which have been touched in.
