The artist has inscribed the reverse in ink, as recorded above, and he has added 'painted by Sir Sir Francis Cook, Bt, ARBA, FRSA, member of Society of Artists Cornwall, October 1947. The painting is in very good original condition. The frame is a more recent addition and is in generally good condition with one or two very minor losses.
