Title: 'Morocco'

Description: A framed original oil painting on canvas, unsigned as far as we can tell, of a group of figures seated on rocks by the sea. The work is titled 'Morocco' on the back of the stretcher and on the label on reverse of the frame. We believe the painting to date from the 1950s and the framing appears to be from the 1960s or the 1970s. The framing label verso is from Mignard Framing Company of  315, Lillie Road, London SW6 who titled it 'Morocco and they or the selling gallery priced the painting at £250 back in the 1960s or 1970s. The frame is of reasonably good quality but there is a a little damage to the right hand corner of the frame which we will have repaired. The painting itself is in good order for its age. The history of the painting is a Surrey private collection who understood the work to be by Sir Timothy Eden. We are confident with that attribution.
